First supplements ever: 2026 (was on zero before)

I'm not a doctor or a dietitian. I'm a 35-year-old desk worker who took zero supplements his whole life, then started boxing and got humbled. Now I'm trying things one at a time, on myself, and writing down what actually happens. This is my log, not advice.

Day 3 — three rounds instead of two, and a small pump test tonight

Stack unchanged. Boxing went one round longer than usual, and I can't tell yet if that's fitness or the pills.

MY STACK · NOW
  • Creatine monohydrate
    5 g · daily
  • Multivitamin (NOW Daily Vits)
    1 cap · with a meal

What I took. Same as yesterday — no changes. **Creatine 5 g** and one **multivitamin** with a meal. Day 3 of holding the variables steady on purpose.

What actually happened at the gym. I normally do **two rounds** of boxing. Tonight I did **three** and finished them. Not "barely survived" three — actually finished. The third round wasn't pretty, but my legs were still under me and my hands were still up at the end.

Fitness, or the pills? I genuinely don't know. This is exactly the kind of moment where it would be easy to credit the supplements, so I want to be careful. A few honest options:

- I've been training consistently for a while now, and an extra round is the kind of jump that just shows up one day. - Creatine famously helps with short, repeated bursts — which is basically what a boxing round is. - The multivitamin is, realistically, doing very little on day 3. - Or it's some mix of all of that plus the fact that I slept okay last night.

I can't separate those right now. I'm logging the result, not the explanation.

Body feels better than I expected. Overall condition is **positive** today. Less of the dragging fatigue I usually carry around the afternoon. Soreness is there but manageable. No stomach issues from the multi.

New variable starting tonight — a small lift block. Starting today I'm adding a short **anaerobic strength block** right after boxing — nothing crazy, just a few sets of basic lifts to get an actual pump. The reason is simple: pump intensity is one of the few things I can actually *feel* and roughly compare day to day. If creatine is doing real work, the pump and the between-set recovery should be the first place it shows up.

So the next few entries are going to be about that. Same two pills, plus this small lift add-on, and I'll just write down how the pump felt and how fast I recovered between sets.

Holding the line. Still **creatine + multivitamin only**. No new supplements until I've got a few days of pump data to compare against. One change at a time — that's still the whole point.
